With analysis of past seven year data on accidents it has been found that nearly half of the accidents in District sirmour happen between 6-10 pm. However, maximum violations happen under Drunken Driving and Unauthorised Driving (w/o valid Driving License) in District sirmour. In violations of Drunken Driving, traffic police seizes the License of the violator and sends it to concerned RLA for suspension of license for 3 months as per Honorable Supreme Court Guidelines.

Apart from penalizing against MV Act violations, traffic police in its resolve is also making efforts towards management of Parking and No Parking areas within the Nahan and Paonta town and other busy stations within the district like Kala Amb, Puruwala, Majra, Renuka Ji, Rajgarh, Pachhad, Shillai Bazaar etc. Many Parking and No Parking zones have been notified by the Deputy Commissioner sirmour at Nahan which are being implemented by the Traffic Police.
